February 27, 2017– Montreal, Canada – The AM1DM-NZ and AM2DM-NZ series are new additions to Aimtec’s unregulated power supplies. They feature an extended Momentary Short Circuit Protection of 3 seconds and are built with reinforced insulation to achieve a High I/O Isolation of either 6000VDC or 4200VAC based on the application needs. To lower the RF impact on these devices for this design is an ultra low Isolation capacitance of typical 5pF.

Specifically designed to meet strict safety requirements for patient protection, the leakage current of these devices are extremely low with a maximum of 2µA. These life-protecting features are ideally suited for use in medical applications that rely on 1xMOPP (Mean of Patient Protection) or 2xMOOP (Mean of Operator Protection) and also in IGBT drivers and RF digital circuits. The ultra-low Isolation capacitance of 5pF typ is also a key advantage of these series. Other applications include: industrial, telecommunication, automation control and computer applications.

This series supports input voltages of 5, 12 and 24VDC to convert to single output voltages of 5, 12 & 15VDC and to dual output voltages of ±5, ±9, ±12 and ±15.  Operating within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C with no derating and available in a compact SIP7 package (19.50 x 9.80 x 12.5 mm), these series can be integrated into a multitude of applications, such as digital circuits, low frequency analog or relay drive circuits to name a few. UL certification on these series is in process.
