Product Change Notification
Products affected: All Aimtec AME1-AZ, AME2-AZ and AME3-AZ series components.
Effective Date: Products with manufacturing date codes of 1540 or newer.
Description of change: Aimtec will implement slight changes in the dimensions of the plastic packaging case on
the above products to improve the manufacturing processes and the product appearance.
The original case dimensions are: 33.70 x 22.20 x 18.00mm.
The new case dimensions will be: 35.60 x 23.31 x 19.32mm.
The dimensions increase by 7%, the maximum allowed limit. All certifications remain valid for the new case dimensional parts. The pin printout remains also the same.
Reason for change: To increase the production capacity, Aimtec engineers have taken the opportunity to improve the manufacturing processes, lead time and the product appearance.
Customer Impact: Aimtec has made every effort trying to minimize the impact the larger case size may have among our customer’s applications. We believe most customers will not be affected by this case dimensions difference, as it is a minor change that reflects only in the physical product appearance. There are no other impacts to product performance, or EMC. The change in dimensions remains within the safety standard allowance.
