This new switching regulator is pinout compatible with LM78xx linear regulators (SIP3), is highly efficient at up to 95% and features an ultra-wide input of 8:1 (9 to 72V ranges). Output currents up to 500mA and available power up to 12 Watts. It also supports soft start, and continuous short circuit protection. Available in 3.3, 5, 6.5, 9, 12, 15 and 24Vdc outputs.
