Products affected: All Aimtec AMSRL-NZ series components.
Product list: AMSRL-783.3-NZ, AMSRL-7805-NZ, AMSRL-7812-NZ, AMSRL-7815-NZ
Effective Date: Products with manufacturing date codes of 1601 or newer.
Description of change: Aimtec will be changing the plastic packaging material used to produce the cases on the above mentioned products to fully automate the manufacturing processes of plastic packaging, cutting, bending and tube packing equipment. Furthermore, there will be 2 polar points on plastic packaging with centralizing stopper on the first pin point side. The case and product width of the new package will be slightly smaller:
Current case width: 8.50mm (0.34 inches)
Current product width pin to pin: 11.82mm (0.47 inches)
New case width: 8.30mm (0.33 inches)
New product width pin to pin: 11.20mm (0.44 inches)
Reason for change: To increase the production capacity and reliability, Aimtec engineering has taken the opportunity to introduce an automated plastic packaging manufacturing process. These added centralizing stoppers are essential part for the automated machines setup.
Customer Impact: Most customers will not be affected by this case difference, as it is a minor change that reflects only to the physical product appearance. There are no other impacts to product performance, or EMC.
